For a number of years, my family has gone to a variety of churches. Recently, they’ve been going to Forest City Community Church. FCCC does a really well done Christmas service in the weeks leading up to Christmas. But because they run this service 7 times over two weekends, they don’t do their regular Sunday morning services. So on the Sunday before Christmas, we were looking for a church to go to. My grandma was in town and she likes United churches, so we went to the local United church.
Place #52: Riverside United Church, 695 Riverside Dr, London, ON N6H 2S3
It was a nice service. They had a choir, which I haven’t seen in a church in a long time. They had credit/debit giving stations in the foyer though, which I thought was a good idea. I hardly carry cash on me, and I can only assume that other people are much the same.
And for the record, we went to three different churches in 36hrs: Sunday morning service at Riverside United, the Christmas service at FCCC on Sunday evening, and back to good ol’ Westview for Christmas Eve on Monday.
And with that, my year of 52 new places comes to a close. I’m not sure how, but there was another week after place 52, so who knows? But the goal was 52 places and that was accomplished 🙂
I haven’t decided yet what my resolution for next year will be. But I’m sure you’ll hear about it here soon.
