Last Sunday, Justine and I had a fun day out together. It started with church in the morning, then we went to a fun little coffee shop called Crafted. It pretty much fit the bill as to what I think of as a stereotypical hipster independent coffee shop. I got a chai latte and a cheddar and asiago scone, both of which were very good. We were planning on spending at least an hour there, so I brought along my bullet journal to work on my week’s layout. Me, doodling in a bullet journal at an independent coffee shop? I know.
After, we went to Alia’s gallery opening of her show ‘Like a Sister’ at the Ryerson Artspace at the Gladstone Hotel.

It was cool to see how different sisterhood could look for people. And there were some fierce looking ladies. While we were there, we were asked by a Ryerson journalism student to explain what sisterhood meant to us. I stumbled through an answer that I’m sure (hoping) won’t be used anywhere.
It was a nice slow-paced day out and about the city. I can’t wait for the weather to be nicer and do more day outings to parks and in general spending more time outside. Spring can’t come fast enough!
My other place this week:
- Crafted, as mentioned above
